Yes. The Athletics are moving to Las Vegas because two decades of failed ballpark plans in Oakland left them without a long-term home, and MLB owners approved the move in November 2023. As of October 2026, the team plays in West Sacramento, and its Las Vegas Strip ballpark is scheduled to open for the 2028 season.
