The franchise's future sits on one of the most famous stretches of real estate in the world: the former Tropicana site on the Las Vegas Strip. The new Athletics ballpark is planned as the permanent home of the Las Vegas Athletics.
Current plans call for a roughly 33,000-seat, climate-controlled venue designed for year-round comfort in the desert heat, targeted to open for the 2028 season.
It marks the fifth city in the franchise's long history, from Philadelphia to Kansas City to Oakland to a Sacramento stopover, and now to the bright lights of Las Vegas. This is where the next chapter gets written.
